* Oval Pent Roof Combustion Chamber for increasing calculate spacing in the burning airing line to attain nearby rank oxidization with angle expose render ratios.
* Molykote composer reduces the exertion and improves engine efficiency.
* ExhausTEC to hit more force and turn equipment changes in municipality driving.
* 5-speed sending to secure that the engine runs in the most economical dynamical zone.
”We module substance customers an unconquerable continuance proposal with the start of the world’s most render economical bike. As render is the azygos field outlay of streaming and operative a 2-wheeler we conceive that this container module hit a Brobdingnagian attractiveness and connexion for the outlay semiconscious customer.” Says Mr.S.Sridhar, CEO Bajaj 2-Wheelers. Hot looking Ducati Hyperfighter that may make its show debut at this year’s EICMA at Milan. The bike will apparently use the Ducati 1098′s engine, chassis, suspension and brakes but the 1098′s full fairing will make way for streetfighter styling and minimal bodywork on the Ducati Hyperfighter . With looks to kill and performance to match, this streetfighter machine may just be the Italian bike maker’s new identity. The Ducati Hyperfighter will be the first Ducati equipped with the revolutionary new DIES (Ducati Integrated Exhaust System), wherein the exhaust is integrated with the sub frame of the bike, which itself is made of magnesium to keep the bike’s weight low. Apart from the new technology, Ducati will use loads of carbonfibre to further shave pounds off the bike. Add to the equation further reduction in weight owing to the dumped full-faring of the 1098 and you have one hell of a lightweight scotcher. Bring it on, Ducati!

Harley-Davidson reckons the changes result in crisp manoeuvrability, more luggage capacity, enhanced heat management and increased rear tyre life.
In the power cruisers category, the new V Rod Muscle with its taut lines and the sweeping side-pipe exhaust takes the VRSC line in a new styling direction. Two other models, the Dyna Street Bob and the Heritage Softail Classic also receive a significant style makeover for 2009.

Honda’s new braking technology

Honda has come out with what they claim is the world’s first electronically-controlled combined ABS for supers port motorcycles. The system is aimed at merging the basic advantages of ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) and CBS (Combined Braking System) systems while specifically addressing the requirements in a Super sport context. They have incorporated the new braking system on the CBR600RR to judge the response from automotive journalists. Most of us would remember the CBS that Honda used on the BlackBird and how it was hated by enthusiasts. However, this new system is based on a completely different concept. In order to achieve the best from the system, it will be executed taking into account particular characteristics of supers port bikes such as a short wheelbase in case of the 600RR. The combined ABS system consists of an electronically controlled combined brake-by-wire system with an innovative stroke simulator that electronically controls the brakes. It is aimed at not upsetting the bike’s stability during mid corner braking. Essentially, the levers aren’t connected hydraulically to the calipers. Instead an electronically controlled unit apportions brake forces appropriately. A servo then replicates feel at the lever. Further, there is the use of electric motors supplying high pressure braking and a very clever ECU that detects wheel lock (front and rear) via wheel speed sensors, machine speed and engine RPM.
In short, all the basic ABS and CBS functions are provided including the prevention of wheel lock, improved balance and easy operation. This is achieved without any compromise to stability during ABS operation. Pitching is minimized so that the bike keeps its normal position. Overall, sport riding performance is uninterrupted as cornering feel remains the same and controllability is enhanced. Honda aims to introduce this on all 250CC and above bikes by 2010. As for how enthusiasts will respond to it remains to be seen.
Suzuki Alstare debuts Bio Motorbike

A couple of months back, bikes india carried news of the fuel-cell powered Crosscage concept from Suzuki that is”close to production. Making news this time around are Suzuki’s WSBK partners, Alstare – a company formerly known for their hospitality services for various motorsport teams.
The World Superbike team recently unveiled their first prototype bio-fuel powered Suzuki GSX-R1000 that made its debut at the Monza round of the WSBK championship. The bike runs on environment friendly E85 fuel consisting of 85 percent bio-ethanol and 15 percent petrol.
The prototype, however, met with a tragic launch when a freelance journalist crashed it during the test. Thus, the bio-fuel powered GSX RlOOO couldn’t be evaluated by many. Nonetheless, the bike has proved to be a clear insight into how high-performance machines and race engines too can adapt to environmentally friendly fuel.
The engineers at Alstare have been working closely with their partners Suzuki and fuel-injection system specialists, Magneti Marelli for several years to show this project the light of day. While initial tests were made on a low-cost, low-performance ATV, the trio successfully managed to port this technology onto the higher capacity Gixxer engine.
There are no official plans to mass produce the bio-fuel conversion.
Alstare does have plans to research a bio-diesel powered ATV to cater to developing nations where rising costs of petrol is hampering activities like farming.
